"Creating the conditions where everyone can thrive
and do their very best work"
Organisational Change
High performance and human centric leadership are inextricably linked. Sustainable, high performing organisations thrive because of high levels of psychological safety, trust, inclusion and high levels of care and challenge amongst their people.
"The temptation to lead as chess master, controlling each move of the organisation, must give way to an approach as gardener, enabling rather than directing." General Stanley McCrystal
The speed and interconnectedness of todays world, means that models of organisations as rigidly reductionist mechanical beasts born out of the industrial revolution are dying fast. And with them goes notions of anxiety provoking heroic leaders and command and control style habits that lock down organisations, people and potential, rendering them unfulfilled, slow, ineffective and unresponsive.
Effective adaptation to emerging threats and opportunities requires disciplined practice; nurturing the conditions necessary for success; developing shared consciousness, spaciousness, and empowered execution. Conditions in which people and teams can flourish and thrive.
The transition from heroic leader to humble gardener is not always a comfortable one, meaning it is even more important that leaders partner with change consultants able to work alongside them to nurture conditions congruent with their values and intentions.

Culture Change
Thriving people = thriving organisations = a world of potential

High performance and human-centric leadership are inextricably linked.
Sustainable, high performing organisations thrive because of high levels of psychological safety, trust, inclusion, and high levels of care and challenge amongst their people.
Peter Drucker famously said "Culture eats strategy for breakfast".
I experienced the ever deepening truth of this when I set out on the road of strategic consultancy. It was soon plain to see, that in order to service clients and help them make their desired contribution to the world that I needed to upskill and do my own inner work too.
Delving deep into limiting self-beliefs, trauma responses, systemic work and family constellations to explore these topics was and is both tough and continuously rewarding.
I know from my own experience and plentiful global research, that attempting culture change work on your own is hard. Whether it is as an individual or leading change in the community or at work, you are part of a complex system and labyrinth of cultural norms, concepts, rules, behaviours, and assumptions.
Trying to affect change from the inside alone can consume vast amounts of energy and resource, and leave you exposed to your own blind spots. Equally, those appealing, shiny, off-the-shelf solutions just won't deliver in the long-term, simply because they absolve you of doing the work required.
I partner with you in an adult-to-adult capacity; being fully ‘in-it’ and alongside you as 'we do the work' together.
My colleagues at Lacerta Consulting have a beautiful way of describing it; moving with you; "dancing on the edge of 'support and challenge', 'inclusion and exclusion', 'same and difference".
I use a variety of generative tools to help you determine what it is that you want more off and work alongside you to nurture the conditions necessary for success. Read more about my approach and those that inspire my work here.
